They are no longer adidas secret weapon, they are the focus.Oh yeah, Kanye and his Yeezys (honestly, it s mostly the 350s because the 950s are irrelevant and the 750s were a product of  first more than  good ) were there. That was a big deal too. But did it put adidas over the top? Not in our eyes; they did more than enough to win in 2015 on their own.

When people look back at adidas comeback these past few years, the flashpoint is definitely Kanye, but the kickoff adidas zx flux was the adidas ZX Flux. When these first dropped in early 2014, people were actually scrambling to get a pair. Since then, adidas has transitioned from the Prism to Reflective to mi ZX Flux to XENO and countless collabs. You might argue that the saturation point adidas originals ultra boost men has been reached with these, but then something new comes along that changes our perception and we re back to loving them again.

Will any of Kanye s adidas kicks make this list in 2016? Does the adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Black or the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Oxford Tan stand a chance? We re still talking about this shoe at the end of 2015. If there s a discussion about resale value, this is one of the first kicks people bring up. We were constantly writing/talking about the ZX Flux, Tubular, Tubular X, XENO technology and possibly the sneaker of the year, the Ultra Boost. Let s keep our fingers crossed that in 2016 adidas continues to create more silhouettes/technology that will have us talking about them on a daily basis. Cause who doesn t love a little friendly sneaker competition to make the other step their game up?

Just like with Kanye, fans are enamored with Drake so even though his Air Jordan 10 release wasn t anything out of the norm, sneakerheads still loved it for the simple fact that Drake was attached to it. Imagine what Jordan Brand could do if they used the 1, 3, 4, 5 or 11 silhouette in a collaboration with Drake? Or maybe even give him his adidas gazelle own lifestyle silhouette? Everyone would be all over it.

There has already been a lot of speculation as to what brand  won 2015. Our own Juan Carrillo finds that Jordan Brand is still the reigning champ . Just last week Dan Freebairn of  Kick Posters released his research of  most liked brands on Instagram and as it turns out, adidas ran away with that title. Personally, from strictly an aesthetic perspective, adidas has won the last 2 years. It just so happens they also won our site s official award for Brand of the Year .
